INFORMATIONAL NOTIFICATION

Unto the Populace of the East Kingdom, Greetings.
This notification is being published to document the situation below.
Tool/Service:  East Kingdom Server – Migration
Impacted
Areas:
 All Services
Description: All remaining websites have been successfully transferred to the new server and are no longer being hosted on the old server. Any and all updates should only be done through the new server credentials emailed to the webminister.

If you need your login credentials, please open a ticket at the Support Center website.

The following websites did not come over without errors and require work to be able to be fully functional on the new server. During the migration a security vulnerability was discovered that we will not be allowing on the new server which made these websites able to work.

accessibleek.eastkingdom.org
equestrian.eastkingdom.org
carillion.eastkingdom.org
mobile.eastkingdom.org
oscar.eastkingdom.org
rapier.eastkingdom.org
seneschal.eastkingdom.org
silverrylle.eastkingdom.org

The East Kingdom Wiki Page is also under repair due to the migration. Please note that all of the updates that were lost due to the server rollback on 9/16/14 were unrecoverable.

The East Kingdom Calendar can still be viewed without error. The input of new entries and update of existing entries are currently broken.

The work around for this is to submit a Support Ticket with the required information for the new entry or the update and we will manually enter it in as quickly as possible. A replacement of this service is also in the works.

East Kingdom Emails remain impacted due to the failing old server. There have been several attempts to migrate the mail sever from the old service to the new that have failed.

Once we discover why the mail transfer failed, we will attempt to move it off the old server again.

We attempted to move all the services off of the old server tonight, and this caused an interrupt in access to all sites. Due to the nature of the situation, we reverted back to the ‘working’ settings and will review the full set up again to clear up the missing pieces.

Once we discover why the transfer failed, we will attempt to move off the old server again.

If anyone is very familiar with DNS migration or MX transfers, your input could help the Kingdom greatly at this time.

Please contact me at either webminister@eastkingdom.org or directly at lorenz@greylever.com to offer up assistance.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.
