Communication Guidance

East Kingdom Communications Guidance and Procedures

The below procedures are for announcements or other communications intended to go out to the entire populace. Kingdom Offices and local groups may (and arguably should) have other communications paths relevant to their specific audiences.

Primary (and Official) Kingdom-wide designated communications channels include the East Kingdom website, EK-Announce and EK-Discuss mailing lists, Official Kingdom Discord, the Pikestaff, and Official Kingdom Facebook.

Secondary channels may include, but are not limited to, The EK Gazette, East Kingdom Unofficial Facebook Group, Polling Order mailing lists, and other forms of social media.

Recommended process:

  1. Official announcements should be sent to the East Kingdom Webministry Helpdesk for posting to the East Kingdom website and announcement crawl. Postings made will automatically be reposted to the EK-Announce email list and the Official East Kingdom Discord.
  2. Announcements should also be posted to the Official East Kingdom Facebook group, which any member of the group should have access to post to.
  3. Depending on the nature and duration of the announcement, it should also be sent to the Kingdom Chronicler for inclusion in the Pikestaff.
  4. Posting of announcements to all other channels is up to the individual distributing the announcement.
